FRITES ATELIER OPENS ITS DOORS IN BRUSSELS
This spring, the new location of Frites Atelier opens its doors at Sint-Katelijnestraat 32 in Brussels. The new location will become the largest Frites Atelier so far and will be open 7 days a week from the afternoon until well into the evening. Here in Brussels, Sergio Herman will extend the menu exclusively for this sixth Frites Atelier restaurant by adding some daily specials!
Belgium at its best
From early March, and thanks to the collaboration with the Belgium beer giant AB InBev, the two best culinary specialties of Belgium will come together in the former premises of Jack O’Shea: Belgian fries and a broad selection of draught Belgian beers.
With a larger number of seats and the more extensive menu, the new Frites Atelier in Brussels will feel more like a brasserie with an easy and convivial atmosphere.
The Frites Atelier concept for the location in the Sint-Katelijnestraat will be expanded. Exclusively for this restaurant, the menu of this Frites Atelier will include some daily special. These dishes are prepared in the open kitchen and served in a brasserie style. Aside from the regular menu, there will be regularly changing dishes such as the steak tartare made with the freshly minced meat of artisanal butcher’s Hendrick Dierendonck, a grilled bavette from the barbecue with a delicious Belgian endive salad with hazelnuts, or a piece of fish such as grilled monkfish with a mousseline sauce with fresh shrimps. The menu will also have some vegetarian options and all dishes are created to be combined with the unique Frites Atelier fries.
CEO Pieter Munten is very happy with the expansion to Brussels and even more so about the collaboration with the Belgian beer brewer. This collaboration even resulted in the fact that Frites Atelier was able to open its Brussels restaurant in this magnificent building.

Apart from its distinctly universal atmosphere, the city also has many local neighbourhoods and squares where you can still find the old-fashioned familiarity. The Sint-Katelijne square is such a typical and dynamic Brussels square where there is always something happening and where life seems to revolve around eating and drinking. An ideal location for a Frites Atelier, which is why we chose to open our largest Atelier so far right here. We cannot wait to prove ourselves to the Belgian capital!”

“I was already familiar with the premises and location of Jack ‘O Shea so I was very keen to open a Frites Atelier in this building. At the same time, I knew that this location had to offer more than the regular menu served at our other Ateliers. This was the reason why I also decided to offer a number of daily specials here because the wonderful space is perfect for the most extensive version of our concept. With the butcher shop of Hendrick Dierendonck next door and the fishmongers of Noordzee across the street, I cannot wait to collaborate with them. During the location visits over the past months, I talked to a lot of people here and you really feel that the area is very much alive. With the large and varied menu, combined with the cosiness of our interior and the quality of our services and products, Frites Atelier wants to become a household name in the Brussels food scene!”
