European Open x Frites Atelier
In celebration of the European Open ATP tennis matches at the Sportpaleis in Antwerp, Frites Atelier in Antwerp had some remarkable visitors ton the 16th of October 2023. Tennis stars Dominic Thiem (ATP 86), Stefanos Tsitsipas (ATP 7), and Arthur Fils (ATP 38) paid a visit to taste Sergio Herman's famous Frites.
Sergio didn't just let them taste the Frites; he also organized a fun competition. This playful contest, aimed at promoting Antwerp as the host city of the prestigious ATP tennis tournament, revolved around the question: Who among these three can make the best Frites Atelier special!
Ultimately, it was Arthur Fils who was awarded the gold medal, with Dominic Thiem as the runner-up. Stefanos Tsitsipas, who finished last, was encouraged to stick to his tennis skills. The fact that our crispy, golden Frites were a hit can be attributed to the unique pictures and the enthusiasm with which our beloved Frites were enjoyed!
Frites Atelier was honored to help bring the ATP tournament, the city of Antwerp, and the Belgian specialty into the spotlight.

The inspirational athletes were so down to earth, super focused, and relaxed at the same time. It was all a very funny and amazing experience. Thank you very much; we loved it!
