Financial Employee

Frites Atelier is growing. Our own ateliers in Belgium are at the heart of our operations and running at full capacity, while we continue to expand our franchise and wholesale activities. This dynamic calls for a strong financial foundation. That’s why we are looking for a Finance Employee for our headquarters in Amsterdam: someone who maintains control over the numbers, works accurately, and understands what’s happening behind the scenes of a growing hospitality business with multiple business lines.

What you do

You are an indispensable link in our finance team. No two days are the same, which is exactly what makes the job enjoyable. These are your responsibilities:

  • You accurately process purchase invoices in our digital systems and ensure the administration is always up to date and correct
  • You send sales invoices from our accounting system and manage the accounts receivable process: from invoice follow-up to monitoring and resolving outstanding items
  • You prepare monthly reports that provide a clear and timely overview of the financial situation
  • You process cash and bank transactions promptly and correctly in the accounting system
  • You ensure the timely and accurate execution of creditor, payroll, and expense payments
  • You review and approve employee expense claims carefully and in accordance with applicable guidelines
  • You take a solution-oriented approach to bookkeeping: you identify discrepancies, report them proactively, and resolve them independently where possible

What you bring

  • A completed education in finance or administration, or proven work experience in accounting
  • You understand how things work and can hit the ground running
  • Accurate and structured—you don’t miss an invoice and maintain oversight
  • Knowledge of Dutch VAT legislation is required; knowledge of Belgian VAT is a plus
  • Strong affinity with systems: you learn quickly and work efficiently with tools such as Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience with Exact Online is essential; knowledge of Zenvoices and project management tools is a plus
  • You are proactive, reliable, and take responsibility for your work
  • Good command of the Dutch language; English is a plus
  • You live in (the greater area of) Amsterdam. Unfortunately, we cannot provide a parking permit for this role

What we offer

  • A part-time position of 24–32 hours per week at our headquarters in Amsterdam
  • A friendly and engaged team where communication is direct and collaboration is key
  • A competitive salary of €3,500 – €4,000 (based on a full-time contract of 40 hours), excluding 8% holiday allowance and attractive secondary benefits, including pension and employee discounts in the Ateliers
  • Opportunity to grow with an ambitious and international brand
  • And don’t forget the menu tastings of our newest Frites Specials 😊

More about Frites Atelier

What happens when Sergio Herman, a three-Michelin-starredchef, collaborates with LambWeston, the world’s best potato producer? Theanswer is simple, yet revolutionary: the creation of the best Frites inthe world. Driven by this vision, Frites Atelier’s first location openedin 2016, and Sergio continued to refine and perfect the Frites over the next six years. Today, we proudly operate three flagship Ateliers in Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent. Building on this foundation and driven by our ambition to grow, we launched a franchise strategy to bring our signature Frites to a global audience.

Each Atelier offers more than just one-of-a-kind Frites, it delivers a luxurious gastronomic experience, bringing the soul of a classicbrasserie to life. As Sergio would say himself: “Perfection has earned me three Michelin stars, and even the simplest dish, like truly delicious Frites, deserves the same dedication. Enjoy!"
